The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia opened on July 12, 2003. The Eye, a 240,000 square foot structure, houses performing arts, visual arts and sciences nether one roof – one of the few of its kind in the country. Located in the land'southward capital metropolis of Charleston, the facility is home to the Dirt Center'south Avampato Discovery Museum, the Juliet Art Museum and the Maier Foundation Performance Hall, home of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
The Dirt Center'southward mission is to inspire creativity, learning and wonder through experiences in the Arts and Sciences for all people of West Virginia and the region.
The Clay Center remains one of the most ambitious economic, cultural and educational undertakings in West Virginia history. The Dirt Middle enhances the region'due south "quality of life" and enriches the lives of all West Virginians.

Easily down the near cute venue nosotros toured in and around the Charleston, WV area. The venue met all of our needs – a split up space for the anniversary (Walker Theatre), a beautiful reception expanse (Thousand Lobby) and additional rooms for utilize, such as the Founder's Room for our Ketubah signing and the balcony and founder's room for our cocktail hr. Securing a date was a bit difficult, as information technology is a performing arts center first – but as long as you lot tin be flexible with your dates, I would highly recommend this cute space as a venue!
